Happy St. Patrick's Day!

So I know you're all dying to know what SAHMs (stay at home moms) do on St. Patrick's Day. After a long day of Dr. appointments and running errands, Ella and I came home to dress up the dogs.

Otis should have been a dog model. He is surprisingly patient and calm during photo shoots.




Later we tried coloring. And guess what, Ella loves the taste of crayons.

Since there were so many cute pictures from our PI shoot, I decided to post a few more that I didn't choose...



I think my kid's going to have sensory issues. They put this boa on her and she HATED it. Good thing too because she looks pretty ridiculous!
The photographer thought she looked like a strawberry. I was thinking a thug.

This is why I didn't choose any without hair bows. This girl's hair is wack! I even tried that whole mom spit thing to pin it down and it just made it worse.

Portrait Innovations - 9 months (The Winners)

Oh Portrait Innovations, how I loathe thee.

Here were my thoughts...these are her nine month photos so I don't need a ton. I mean really, how many 8x10's do the grandparents even want? It's not like they're going to wallpaper their houses with Ella (although they totally should!). I'll get a ton of pics for her 12 months so today I'll just get a very small package. Only the very best few shots. I am not spending more than I did last time! I'm only bringing two outfits. I won't do a bunch of backgrounds...

And then I get there and the photographer is all...we just got our new spring background. Let's try this. Now let's try this. With the headband, without the headband. How bout a diaper shot? Because of some trouble last time, we'll give you a 20 % discount. Just one more...

These are the winners...

I love this next one because Buzz makes fun of me for my finger always randomly pointing and it seems Ella has picked this habit up as well.
It got this one in a 10x13 black and white.

I was torn between these last two for my "money" shot. You know the $9.95 package where you get a gazillion photos in all sizes. In the end we decided that although I adore the serious expression on Ella's face, most people like a smiley kid. And yes, that hair sticking out the side of her head bothers me too but I didn't notice until it was too late.

Kyle Chandler - yeah baby!

I received a picture text last week from one of my sister's friends.

First I think, "Oh Kerry must have watched the video on how to make curls using the Chi iron. But wait, what's that? Who is that hottie in the background? That sure looks like the guy from Early Edition and the famous Grey's Anatomy bomb episode. But where is my sister and why is he behind her???" Turns out that his two daughters go to my sister's kids' school. It's the night of the talent show and he is the Master of Ceremonies...and guess what, my sis is in charge of photos so she had free reign to snap away.

Kerry reported walking in earlier that night and this hot dad holds the door for her. When she realized it was him she became tongue-tied. They were sitting by each other and he said, "So you're the photographer, huh?"

My big sister had the very clever response of...wait for it..."Yes!"

Real impressive Kerry. But thanks for the eye-candy.
