Lordy, Lordy, Look Who's Forty!

By looking at this picture, it's hard to believe that this girl is going to be 40 years old. She does not look or act anywhere near this age. Here's to a girl who's always fun, kindhearted and generous. Enjoy your party and remember, it will be nine more years until I catch up to you in your forties!!!

"Oooh you're my best friend" in the voice of Freddie Mercury

What it's like to have triplets

I babysat Amy's twins Wednesday from 10 to 4.

Here is little Addison. She is so cute and has the most expressive eyebrows around. And here is Brady. He is totally laid back and laughs easily.
Is there anything cuter than babies in pjs?
Yes, babies holding hands in pjs is even cuter. Who knew Ella was so tan. It's been mentioned before but Ella is now the bully...
Finally someone to sit on the other side of the farm.
When Amy's hubby dropped off the kids, I had Otis and Greta locked in our bedroom. Otis couldn't handle the stress so he tore at the carpet (Again). When I finally let him out of the bedroom, he begged to go outside and I just let him out the back door. He was so stressed from the whole ordeal (of about 10 minutes) that he was peeing out his butt. The dogs were great the rest of the day and the kiddos weren't scared of them at all. They do have three, yes three, cats at home.
I did not pose them like this. I found them this way. Little Brady didn't sleep a wink all day. But he did enjoy his illegal pacifier.

When I see this pic I think that these two were just talking shit about their moms and I walked in and busted them.
And finally, a few short clips for your viewing pleasure. The good and the not so good.

Is that dog serious?

Last week, Otis got loose somehow (I let him out to pee and he ran into the woods and ignored me for 10 minutes). When he came back he smelled like ham and puked up this little number... Here's a close-up for ya. If you don't know it's dog puke, it kinda looks like rocky road ice-cream. Did I mention that Dairy Queen is open again?
You might ask yourself, "why does she keep this beast around?" Here is why...
He's just so darn handsome!

Ella's Nursery...Finally Complete!!!

Let me start this post by reminding everyone of the series of events that took place and why I am finally posting nursery pics even though Ella is 8.25 months old...

Feb 12, 2009: We order a three piece nursery set in distressed white from Babies n Beds in Hoffman Estates.

Early May 2009: Furniture arrives just in time for baby's arrival but alas, it is black!

Mid May 2009: While Buzz is on the phone with furniture guy getting more bad news, Kelly loses it in the parking lot of Buy Buy Baby and begins screaming and pounding her steering wheel.

May 20, 2009: Ella is born and has no furniture. We consider buying from a vendor in Wisconsin but we've come so far. The Wisconsin guy is more money and he sounds a little shady.

Mid June 2009: The crib and dresser arrive, but where is the armoire and conversion kit?

July 2009: Kelly learns that the furniture line, Creations, is no longer making this set. The last 12 armoires were made and supposedly one is ours.

August, September, November 2009: Buzz continues to call and be dicked around by the furniture guy. Everyone starts telling Kelly to look for a new armoire. Bob, the furniture guy promises we'll have it by Thanksgiving. We learn that he has closed the store that we bought the set from.

December 2009: Still no armoire. It is promised by New Years Eve. Kelly begins to lose hope.

January 28, 2010: Armoire and conversion kit arrive and are gorgeous! With all of the discounts that Buzz managed, we ended up paying only $1500 for all three pieces with no delivery charges or taxes. Thanks to my parents and Jeanie for each buying a piece!

So now, without further adieu, I give you... the nursery:

There are only two small things left to do. I need to find a lampshade I like for her floor lamp (or make one) and I need to hang some small, sparkly butterflies over her changing table. But aren't all rooms a work in progress?
