Ella's photoshoot preview - 9 days old

For my Elk Grove Pet Clinic work shower I received two gift certificates. One was for a newborn photo shoot (with the same photographer that did my dog/maternity photos). The other was $100 worth of prints. The photographer likes to do the newborn shoots right away so we had her come today. She stayed for almost four hours and was totally patient with Ella, us and the dogs. She mainly focused on Ella but got a few of us with her and the dogs with her. We tried to get both dogs and Ella together (that was awfully ambitious and we failed). I can't wait to see all of the pics.

Be prepared to be bored...

Here are a few of my favorite pics from the hospital. I had no idea having a baby would be like this. I am not sappy or gushy but I have to say that I feel totally fulfilled right now. I think it's called baby euphoria and it probaby wears off but it's like a drug now. I can't get enough of this kid. We've been home for two days and Buzz went back to work today. He was home by 3. Ella and the dogs did great.

Welcome Ella Jae Refvik!

Breech baby, breech baby here on the sand...



Ella Jae Refvik arrived on Wednesday, May 20th at 10:05 am via C-section due to being in the breech position. I will go into details later but I wanted to get some pics on the blog for my sister and Grandma. We are absolutely over the moon!!! Take a good luck, she's a mini-Buzz.
