Homeward Bound

Alas our trip has come to an end. We tried to get some photos of Ella and the three boys. After about 100 photos, this is the best one. It needs to be juiced up a bit in Picassa and then it will be great.

Later we stopped by Cole's football practice because we weren't able to attend his game Saturday. He is disappointed that we can't stay for his next game because he's playing the hardest team ever! Cole's pretty funny. He told me the other day not to get pregant again because I might end up with a boy!
Aunt Kerry showed Ella the ropes on Facebook before cooking a delicious Tilapia dinner.
We are sad to go but are excited to see Buzz, Otis and Greta. We had a great time and will hopefully be back in January with Buzz. We are taking a little piece of Austin home with us though...check out Ella's new fall wardrobe below. Jeanie, I blew it, the clothing ban is back on!

Too Wong Foo - Thanks for everything!

Austin - Baby baths and Wimberley

How cute is this bathing beauty? Kerry confirmed what I already knew...Ella has a long a$$ crack. She said that Cole had one too and her and my mom used to laugh about it.

Here is a rare shot of Blake. He's kind of a teenager that plays X-box and is busy with his friends all the time...
We went to a cute little town called Wimberley and did a little shopping. Then we hit the outlets for the second time and now Ella has a new fall wardrobe!

Austin - Day 3, Downtown

Yesterday while the kids were at school, the adults headed to downtown Austin for lunch and a little sight-seeing.
We had lunch at the Iron Cactus. There was a great view from the rooftop seats.

Next we did some walking and stopped in a souvenir shop. Look at the cute cowgirl I bought...

We finished with the state capital.

Who's that weirdo in the background ruining the photo? Oh it's just Brent.
Here is Ella getting her diaper changed right outside the doors of the great state of Texas' capital. I am one classy lady. In my defense, I went to change her inside and they didn't have changing tables. The cleaning lady told me to change her on the window sill!
Brent left this morning and we have a long day of soccer games to look forward to...

Austin - Day 2, Brent arrives

Uncle Brent is working and living in a suburb of Houston so when he heard that Ella and I came to town he came for a visit. He arrived last night and we went to The Nutty Brown for dinner.

Uncle Michael introduced Ella to beer.
We found her passed out later that night. Apparently she's a lightweight!

Ella's first airplane ride

Yesterday, Ella and I boarded a plane to Austin to surprise my sister. Her husband met us at the airport and we popped in on Kerry and the kids. Traveling was a breeze due to a lot of factors. My dad works at the airport so Buzz dropped me off and my dad met us outside. He helped me check in and hung out until we boarded. He had friends at the gate that got me a row to myself and his other friend gently placed my stroller on the plane. Ella took a bottle at take-off and fell asleep until landing when I gave her another bottle. Everyone on the plane commented on what a great baby she was. As soon as we landed, my brother in law, Michael, found us. I had so much shit with me and I don't know how I would have survived without all the help! My sister said that she felt like she was having a hot flash when we walked in. She didn't think I was coming until December. Her boys were so excited to see Ella and Cole told me, "I washed my hands so I can hold Ella." Some of the neighborhood kids and Ella in the playroom. The little girl holding Ella is also Ella. Cole told all the kids to wash their hands before touching the baby. I love that kid.
Aidan had some reading homework and Ella loved listening to him.

Uncle Brent is driving in from Houston tonight to stay for two nights. More to come...
