Operation sippy cup

It's no secret. Ella has been rocking a bottle in the morning and at night since she turned about a year old -when I stopped nursing. Yes, I know that's when you're supposed to lose the bottle but she wouldn't take milk from a sippy cup. She'd drink it and spit it out everywhere so it was easier to give her the bottle. She takes a sippy cup for water no problem but she does not think that milk belongs in there. So we decided it's time to lose the bottle for good. The pediatrician advised that it could take over a week for her to drink milk again and this is fine as long as she is getting other dairy. I'd love to say that we handed Ella a sippy of milk and she smiled, said thanks and drank it up. Then some pigs went flying by. This is not what happened. What happened is the chaos that you see below:
She won't take it under any circumstances, any time of the day, for the last three days! She throws her hand up and says, "no, no, no!" And when it's offered in the morning when she's expecting a bottle, she throws a tantrum for five minutes upon even seeing the sippy cup. But we are staying strong and waiting for her to crack...
